To our valued customers: We would like to inform customers who may currently be using either an OTOWHOMES or STONECREEKFL email address that Bridgenet Communications will be retiring our email service on December 1, 2020.
Once the OTOWHOMES or STONECREEKFL email addresses are retired, they will no longer be operational for sending or receiving emails. In addition, once we remove these email addresses from our server you will no longer have the option to keep your existing OTOWHOMES or STONECREEKFL email address or extract and move your data to another email service provider. Therefore, we suggest that you transition over to a new email service provider as soon as possible. There are several large providers, such as Google/GMAIL, that provide free email addresses and a very capable and secure email service. While there are several platforms currently available, we’ve created the following example for you should you choose to transition your email account to Google/GMAIL: Create a new email address Create an email address with a free provider like Gmail. When choosing your new email address, use your name or something that will age well over time. If you have a common name, try using your last name first or a combination of your initials and your last or first name.
Forward emails to your new email account You can begin forwarding OTOWHOMES & STONECREEKFL emails once you create a new email account and delete the copies on your old mail service. Forward emails to Gmail Go to Gmail and select the gear icon in the upper right corner and select "Settings." Select "Accounts and Import" and then "Add a mail account." Enter your email address and leave the box "Treat as an alias" checked so when you reply to email it will come from your new Gmail account. Keep the option to "Send through Gmail" selected. You'll then need to "Send Verification" to show that you own your old email account.
For most email services, all of the fields will be pre-populated then select Add Account. Once you have connected your account, go back to Settings > Accounts and Import > and choose to "Always reply from the default address," which should be your new Gmail address.
